Not sure how that skateborder left the house thinking that was a good look. Just awful. Do us a favor and run a red light when a mack truck is speeding by and just not swerve.

I've been a big beliver in this type of method and didn't think a study was necessary to show it can work. Nap time on the day job would work as well.

Brutal day in the market 9.15.8

500+ points lost today. Lehman goes under, AIG is next in line, Merrill Lynch goes to Bank of America for 1/16 it's value from a year ago. Not sure what happened, but it certainly won't be a good day. Amount lost was around duodecillion dollars.

Bachelor party was cool. Golf was alright. Some decent shots and some others that would make you want to quit or throw a club or two. Otherwise I enjoyed the weekend up in Stratton.

Packers win opener 9.8.8

A late night at work kept from catching the first half but I caught the more interesting finish. Not sure they worked on everything in the preseason but a win against a division opponent is key. Decent play on the offense and a better defensive pressure than I was expecting. Chicago's surprising win over the Colts at Indy was one of the unexpected results. Along with Carolina over San Diego in the last seconds, Atlanta over Detroit, and Philly bigger than expected.

Injuries seem to have been a bigger story in week 1 than most opening weeks from prior year. Some of the not so surprising teams won, but my fewer points than expected. Proving you never know opening week what might happen.

Foxwoods was a decent trip. It could have been much better had I just played a couple of hands differently. Lesson learned but a costly one. Dave actually did really well following a poor showing the previous day in the 5-10 game. At least one of us was up big. Mark not so much.

Number of Suicides in Boston skyrockets 9.8.8

Opening day for the New England Patriots and the MVP star quarterback goes down with a season ending knee injury in the first quarter. Today, when the news comes he will be lost for the season on IR, you can see the backed up line of people jumping off the John Hancock building and the bodies piling up. Luckily the Boston Police Department has blocked pedistrian traffic so no more fans will be injured from those leaping to their deaths. I think I was the only one in the office that said they should have signed Brett Favre, but as usual no one bothers to listen.

Back from a trip down to Yankee Stadium. The Blue Jays took down the Yankees 6-2 on Sunday. Not sure if the Red Sox can overtake Tampa Bay, but it should get closer in the AL East.
