TOD 11.29.6

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Packers Patriots in Green Bay

Tough game to watch. Nothing going offense. Defense couldn't stop the Pats. Loss on the pool. Big loss in the office. At least it is a short work week until Thanksgiving.

Vote Count

It comes down to Montana and Virigina. Some surprises in the election coverage and results. Here in Boston a lot of the Dems won. Still can't get rid of Kennedy. I guess if the votes are in you can't pack your bags and head West to Montana if you don't like it in the Peoples Republic of Mass?

Link to Mymoneyblog

A favorite link or post on the mymoney blog? Well, I've been reading his tips and tricks for some time, but must admit I don't really have a favorite. I do find and seek out many financial sites goals list and updates. Many sites give a general idea on where people stand and how well they stick to the plan. I like to follow along and see the progress they make. They tend to give you an idea on what caused the months changes along with a recap on what they may be thinking slightly ahead of the curve, like moving into or out of certain plans or investments. Not sure how much is too much in the making everything public realm, but it never hurts to put your goals down and tracked.

Weekend update 11.6.6

Went to catch a movie, too bad it was sold out before I even got downtown. Delays in the T made the trip an extra 25 minutes. Doubt that would change things, but figured, since most people don't like stepping outside their comfortable little world, I would try out a new place. Not a bad evening.

Packers lost to Buffalo. Can't figure out that play call at the goal line when you NEED the touchdown. Tough month of teams only gets worse.
