Some photos from Germany and Prague are now up. Feel free to take a look around. Hopefully I can find some time to label them. Enjoy. Please let me know if the settings need to be changed in order to view them.
Flew into the hot, sticky, muggy, rainy weather in Newark today. Back up to Boston tomorrow and re-joining the working stiffs rather than enjoying more of Germany and the World Cup. See you Monday.
Our last leg of the trip is today. We fly back to the US tomorrow early AM. If you need anything from the duty free shops let me know. Otherwise, look for the postcards or call me and I will tell you about the first trip to Europe.
Germany has been great. The weather even better. The beer the best. The food is good and the education is priceless. Hope everyone could have as much fun as us.
Cheers to the remaining teams still left to play. If I can score tickets I will gladly come back.
On the train ride today, we left from Munich station and met up with our other friends who were in KTown for the US/Italy 1-1 draw. The early train left around 6:43 and arrived in Prague around noon. It took some time to get to the hotel and now we find ourselves in a really nice place with all rooms connected. Just no showers and hot water for the place but would be cool if they could give us a better price as a result. A day here and then off to Berlin.
Happy Fathers Day dad in case you didn't quite get all of our long distance best wishes.
Later from the fourth leg of the World Travels.
Hello to every one of the loyal followers and readers of this site. Checking in from Germany after the USA-Italy 1-1 draw. Having a blast and traveling all over. We`re all off to the Czech Republic and will be in to Berlin in a couple of days. Hi Mom and Dad All is well. See you in a week when we fly home.
Off to New Jersey for the first leg of the vacation to Germany and the World Cup. Be back in two weeks.
A pretty good weekend here. Dave and I off to Foxwoods mid Saturday. Up in the 2-5 No Limit Cash game. A better turn of cards than the last couple of trips. Dave actually hit a Royal Straight Flush. A jacket or poker chip set were his choice. Then Sunday for our another charity poker game. Up early but careless play later hurt my chances. Wrong time for an all-in against pocket Aces. Same in the second game when I finished second to another pocket Aces.
Words from the National Spelling Bee are up at the web. Round by round results and the correct and incorrect spelling of the words. For those at home playing along, I only got three correct. Next up will be geography.
