Consumption makes us sad.
Consumption makes us sad.
At Day's End
Is anybody happier because you passed his way?
Does anyone remember that you spoke to him today?
The day is almost over, and its toiling time is through,
Is there anyone to utter now a kindly word of you?
Can you say tonight, in parting with the day that's slipping fast,
That you helped a single person of the many that you passed?
Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said?
Does the one whose hopes were fading now with courage look ahead?
Did you waste the day, or use it? Was it well or sorely spent?
Did you leave a trail or kindness or a scar of discontent?
As you close your eyes in slumber, do you think that God will say,
"You have earned one more tomorrow by the work you've done today"?

Invest in yourself. Do the things that can get you closer to your goals and dreams. It won't come from a brokerage commercial. It will come from preparing yourself, working hard and standing apart from your competition. You Inc is the best stock you can ever buy…if you are willing to do the work.
Mark Cuban has other good bits of wisdom at his blogmaverick site that I check out every now and then.
Finished Blink. A pretty cool book on the thought process that happens in a split second. I thought the experiment with the card deck and playing video in reading peoples faces were cool, but repeated quite often. Some interesting points on the muscles in the face and emotional combinations that can really tell how one is feeling.
Some book titles to check out.
