There goes the entire rooting interest in the NCAA tourney brackets. Syracuse was my weakest link. Down goes Tyson. Not ONE single entry was hedged for the first round game. Big East champs? Just shoot Gerry McNamara? What a piss poor performance. What kind of game was that? 1 for 20 shooting. Poor defense. Back court violation bringing it up court? I could have done better for the coach who has 700 wins. Speaking of which, I'm sure he has to have some kind of sense developed now, of when to rotate players to keep them fresh. Vermont still looked like it could continue playing, but Syracuse needed a breather every single time down.
Sure Warrick made some costly turnovers late, but the intensity was lacking throughout. What a way to ruin a one in a million run. Props to Vermont. Andrew was taking them and liked them for some odd reason. Now to be sure I'll never hear the end of it at work. Maybe Danielle missed the boat, but I'm sure to see the only school alumni boasting greatness.
Surprising: L'ville almost losing to another 13 seed Louisiana-Lafayette. That surely whould have thrown everyone for a loop. Wisconsin margin of victory. Same for UConn, and Delaware State hanging strong with Duke.
Not so surprising: UNC storms 16. Southern Illinois, NC State, and how long it took them to win.
