Although the first half was mainly a slow matchup I really had to question some of the refs calls and play calling by Carolina. They couldn't move. In fact I would be disappointed for them to play that poorly and still be 0-0 if I'm New England.
As for the final minutes. People should learn not to leave enough time on the clock for the other team (with 3 timeouts) to drive. The Carolina penalities, out of bounds kickoff, and the lack of defensive urgency to stop New England should be the talk of how they came up short. Hats off to New England to move the ball on a worn down defense. TOP and total number of plays was huge.
As for my favorite commercials. The Willie Nelson/HR block tax advice doll, the Bud referee on the sideline. and his wife screaming at him on the couch, and the Pepsi bears.
